Who is the Club meant for?
Those who want access to a pleasure boat but for reasons of time, budget, or the uncertainty of what type of boat they want, just don’t want to own one.

How do I know I’ll get a boat when I want one?
Having the boat you want available when you want it is very important to us.  It means you’ll be a happy member and stay with us for a long time.  To help insure availability:
*        We maintain one boat for every eight Anytime Passport Members.
*        Each Anytime Passport Member gets one weekend day reservation per month and one weekday reservation per month.  This does not limit you to two uses.  It means you can reserve the boat you want when you want it.
*        You can also use any boat available anytime you’d like without effecting your future reservations.

Is there a limit as to how often I can use the boats?
Nope!  Use them as often as you’d like.  Let’s face it, you are advertising for us when you are on the water.  And there is no per use charge, all you pay for is your fuel.

I’m new to boating.  Can I get training?
Our Club is a great way to get started in boating.  We offer a wide array of training classes.

Can I use the boats after hours or overnight?
While not the norm, special arrangements can be made to do this.  Our normal operating hours are 8:00a.m. to 5:00 p.m. everyday except Tuesdays. (We have to have a day to maintain the boats)  Arrangements can be made for early departures, late returns or Tuesday use.  Operation of club boats must limited to dawn to dusk.  While overnight usage can be arranged it must be done with the understanding the boat will not be operated after dusk or before dawn.  Night time operation is prohibited.

What do I have to pay?
There are no huge lifetime membership fees to pay, only an annual or seasonal contract.  Besides the Orientation/Initiation Fee and your monthly or annual dues, you’re only responsibility is the fuel you use.

Who can I bring with me?
Friends, Family, In-Laws, Out-Laws, you name it.  Your only limitation is the person capacity of the boat you’ll be using.  All are welcome as long as the member is operating the boat.

What types of boats are available?
We’ve got a variety of power boats in sizes ranging from 18’ to 24’ including bowriders, fish-n-skis, deck and pontoon boats and a cuddy cabin.

What will we do once we are on the water?
Where do we start!  Some folks enjoy simply cruising the chain of lakes sight seeing.  Maybe you might like fishing, skiing, going for lunch, packing a picnic and heading to one of the many state parks on the water or even taking a lazy afternoon and letting the water rock you to sleep.  There are so many choices, the possibilities are endless.  Just enjoy getting away from it all!

I’m new to the area.  Can we get lost on this Harris Chain of Lakes?
Each watercraft has a water proof map on board for reference, but honestly, it is very easy to find your way around.  All the canals, rivers and passageways are clearly marked, and we are always available for assistance.

Can I apply my Membership Dues against the purchase of a boat?
Yes, the remainder of your annual contract dues can be applied towards the purchase of a new boat from Mount Dora Boating Center.
